Ingredients

For marinating
1 lb chicken (thigh pieces)
½ cup yoghurt
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp tandoori masala
1 tsp food colour
2 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
For gravy
2 big onions chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
6 green chillies
5 tbsp yoghurt
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp black cumin seeds
1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
1tsp chilli powder
2tsp coriander powder
5 green cardamom
5 cloves
1 black cardamom
1 cinnamon stick
10 almonds
6 cashwenuts
1 cup milk
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasoori meethi powder
2 tbsp tandoori masala
5-8 almonds sliced
salt as per taste
Preparation

1Marinate the chicken with yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, tandoori masala, red chilli powder and salt. Let it rest for one hr.
2Broil it in oven till it is 90 percent cooked.
3Remove it from oven and keep it aside.
4Soak the almonds and cashew in milk for 30 mins. Later make a paste out of it.
5Heat oil and butter in a pan.
6Add black cumin seeds, cloves, green cardamom and black cardamom. Stir it for a minute.
7Now add chopped onions and ginger garlic paste. Sautee it well till the onions are translucent.
8Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and tandoori masala. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
9Grind tomatoes and green chillies and add in the pan.
10Let it cook till oil separates.
11Now mix in yoghurt. Stir well.
12Now add almond cashew paste, salt and kasuri methi.
13Add water, cover and let it cook for 15 minutes. Keep on stirring at regular intervals.
14Finally add broiled chicken pieces and mix everything well. Cook for 10 minutes.
15Garnish with sliced almonds and chopped coriander leaves
